My personal relationship with yoga began in 2013 when I was seeking a counterbalance to a busy and stressful working life. Meadowlark Yoga in Edinburgh became a sanctuary for me, and I fell in love with the moving meditation of Vinyasa yoga. It became such an essential part of my life, that in 2017 I went on to undertake my 200 hour teacher training in Vinyasa Yoga with two of my most respected teachers, Helen Gillespie and Demelza Feltham (MUDRA).

Since qualifying as a teacher, it has been a privilege to combine my background as a medical doctor with yoga through teaching on several wellbeing projects for NHS staff with Edinburgh Community Yoga.

I recently undertook additional training with the Yoga in Healthcare Alliance to become a certified teacher of the 'Yoga4Health' program.

I love the space that yoga creates in body and mind and the balance between strength and grace.

I offer:

I am so excited to be collaborating with chef Victoria Anderson @foodbytor to bring you this warming and restorative Winter Yoga and Wellbeing Retreat!

The weekend will be a feast for the soul, with delicious, hearty and healthy food, warming, energising and restorative yoga classes, meditation, Ayurvedic massage, roaring log fires, hot tub, winter walks and lots more!

Old Kilmun House is a stunning 17th century country house located on the Holy Loch on the West Coast of Scotland, 20 minutes from Dunoon and just over 2 hours from Edinburgh. It has been very recently lovingly refurbished with yoga retreats in mind.

Nestled in the heart of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, we will be surrounded by beautiful mountains, forests and water. There are stunning walks directly accessible from the house, and lots more to explore in the local area. Our luxury accommodation has a Hot Tub, Sauna, Games Rooms, Open Fires and huge gardens to explore.

Yoga / We will practise yoga together twice daily; beginning our morning with some guided meditation and pranayama before moving on to an awakening, energising yoga flow. In the evening our practice will usually be more gentle and may incorporate Yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga. All levels of experience are welcome, including beginners. We will be practising yoga in a purpose built, fully-equipped cosy yurt with wood burning stove, fairy lights, bolsters and blankets. All yoga equipment is provided.

Food / Food plays a large part of any yoga retreat, and whilst you are with us, we can promise wholesome, hearty and healthy food that makes you feel great. We are offering a vegetarian menu, but one that meat lovers will enjoy as well. Expect bold flavours, bright colours and brilliant company to share it all with.

Other activities / As well as plenty of time to explore the house and grounds, soak in the hot tub and relax infant of the open fire there will also be plenty of opportunity to explore the beautiful local area. Kilmun Arboretum, Pucks Glen, Benmore Botanical Gardens are within walking distance of the house. For any keen hillwalkers, there are plentiful Munros and Corbetts within a short drive. Ellie can guide on this (Scottish winter weather permitting!)

• Twin room for two people sharing: £465pp (4 places available)

A deposit of £150 is required to secure your place. Payment instalment options are available on request.

Your investment includes: 3 nights luxury accommodation at Old Klilmun House and use of the facilities, all food and drink (including wine) for the weekend, 6 yoga classes, meditation, massage and much more!
